Get Active! Get Involved! Make a Difference!
Volunteering for MRSA Survivors Network or for other local patient advocates is a great way to make a difference. Become a MRSA activist yourself! It starts with one – it starts with YOU!
Volunteer to hold a memorial program or candlelight vigil for all of those who have died from MRSA in your community at hold it at your local church, community center, park or state capitol steps on World MRSA Day – October 2nd or any time throughout October, World MRSA Awareness Month. For further information – www.worldmrsaday.org
If you or a loved one have suffered from MRSA share your experience at your local hospital or school in a small presentation – raise awareness and educate others. Prepare and deliver meals to a MRSA victim who is housebound or run errands for them.
Fundraising
Organize a fundraising event in your community can be as simple as a bake sale or garage sale with proceeds donated to raising awareness for MRSA. (see Fundraising page)
